Western Glow
A true ambassador, Western Glow excelled in open competition as well as at Welsh shows. Highlights include high point 13 and Under at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and Horses of Harris County shows. He was a 4-time winner of the AHSA Horse of the Year award for Welsh Pleasure, back when there was only one award. Multiple WPSA championships include halter, hunter, English and western Pleasure, pleasure driving and he even had points in roadster. He was in parades, a photo shoot with handicapped kids, trail rides, and innumerable leadline, walk-trot and short stirrup classes. He was even pinned Supreme Champion at halter over stallions and mares a couple of times before the rules changed. At open shows, Quarter Horse judges would say he looked just like a little Quarter Horse and Arabian judges would say he looked just like a little Arabian. He taught a lot of people about what a Welsh pony can do.
